Fraternity recruitment offers an opportunity to meet chapter members and peers while
learning what each fraternity has to offer. Throughout the process, Interfraternity
Council (IFC) members and chapter representatives will be available to answer any
questions that may arise while participating in recruitment. Participating in the
recruitment process does not require a person to join a chapter but allows them to
explore and learn more about the campus and Fraternity and Sorority Life community.
This is a great way to meet new people and discover different ways to get involved
on campus. The recruitment process is intended to be a positive, engaging, and enriching
experience for everyone who participates.
INTERFRATERNITY COUNCIL FRATERNITIES
2025 Fall Fraternity Recruitment (August 30th – September 3rd, 2026) – REGISTRATION
OPENS JULY 1ST!!!
There are multiple opportunities for men to join one of our Interfraternity Council
fraternities at ˮAV. The primary opportunity is Fall Recruitment,
which takes place at the beginning of the semester. In addition, many fraternities
participate in an informal recruitment process, often referred to as Open Recruitment,
which may continue throughout the semester. Not every chapter participates in informal
recruitment.
During Fall Recruitment, men will have the opportunity to meet with members from each
fraternity to determine which chapter is the best fit. Recruitment is less formal
than the Panhellenic process and allows potential new members to attend events, have
conversations, and build connections with chapters. Bids (invitations to join) may
be extended at any point during the informal recruitment period.
