In response to of the 94th Arkansas General Assembly, opioid overdose rescue kits have been installed at 50 locations across the 水果派AV campus in Russellville.
Opioid overdose rescue kits can be found on the first floor of all campus educational buildings, sporting venues, student unions/cafeterias, residence halls, and the ATU Health and Wellness Center next to a fire extinguisher and/or AED.
Recognizing an opioid overdose:
Instructions for the use of the naloxone spray will be found on or inside the opioid overdose rescue kits. The kits are unlocked, and the naloxone nasal spray and a face mask will be located inside and are available for use.
Naloxone is the drug found in Narcan nasal spray. Naloxone is a medication used to reverse some effects of an overdose of opioids (e.g. fentanyl, oxycontin, morphine, and Vicodin). It will not affect someone who is not overdosing.

To report use, scan the QR code located on the opioid overdose rescue kit and complete the ATU Naloxone Reporting Form. This will alert the staff in the ATU Health and Wellness Center to restock the opioid overdose rescue kit.
