Sexual Assault Awareness month Events
- All Month: 2026 Title IX Campus Climate Survey
- Join your fellow students, faculty, and staff in completing the IRB-approved 2026
Title IX Campus Climate Survey, designed to help the Title IX Office advance response
and prevention efforts related to sexual misconduct (sexual harassment, sexual assault,
relationship violence, stalking, and sexual exploitation) and safety initiatives.
Survey opens April 1, 2026. Content Warning: Some of the questions in the survey deal with sexual misconduct,
which may be distressing to some individuals. Resources are listed on each page of
the survey. To report sexual misconduct, please contact Title IX Coordinator Stacy
Galbo via email at sgalbo2@atu.edu or by phone at 479-964-0583 ext. 4714.
- Three informational sessions are planned for students, faculty, and staff who may
have questions about the survey:

- Keynote Speaker: Brittany Piper
- Thursday, April 9 at 7 p.m. in the Bibler Conference Center (Ferguson Student Union,
Room 150)
- Join us for a powerful keynote with internationally renowned speaker Brittany Piper.
A survivor, author, and trauma-informed practitioner, Brittany transforms her personal
story into a message of resilience, healing, and hope, offering insight into how trauma
impacts the body and how survivors and allies can support recovery. This event is
open to students, faculty, and staff. Advocates from the Ozark Rape Crisis Center
will also be in attendance.
- Survivor Support Workshop
- Thursday, April 16 at 4 p.m. in the Travis Adams Leadership Room (Ferguson Student
Union, Room 221)
- Join us for a conversation on how trauma affects the body, brain, and memory, and
what that means for supporting survivors. This workshop is open to students, faculty,
and staff, and offers practical, compassionate strategies for responding to disclosures
of sexual or relationship violence, stalking, and other forms of sexual misconduct.

As a result of Title IX Education and Outreach Efforts, students will:
- Gain knowledge and understanding of how to navigate instances of harassment (sexual
misconduct).
- Recognize that the Title IX Office is committed to fostering campus cultures of respect
free from gender-based discrimination.
- Become empowered to safely intervene when problematic behavior is observed.
The Title IX Office is responsible for providing educational training programs to
assist members of the University community in understanding discrimination, harassment,
and retaliation, and how to address behaviors that violate University policy. More
